Through innovation, with the aid of technology, the possibility of changing trends can be the start of era distinction from the generation X down to millennials and to the gen Zs. Red lipstick, on the other hand comes and go, seasons change and red lipstick is gone from the hype, then a famous celebrity walks in bringing red lipstick, in a snap once again, it’s a hype.

Icons like Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Julia Roberts, Rihanna and Taylor Swift are just few of which are known from each of their generation that would effortlessly fit the red lipstick look.

My Points

Different well-known celebrities can rock this color, it may change often but still red lipstick is a part of every woman‘s collection.

Is it a fad or class?

It seems inexplicable to be identifying it on one side only, however, I think red lipstick is always a classic. It’s a sign of power, celebration of femininity, and symbol of class.

Nowadays, there seem to be a lot of new shades in the market, girlies can pick from purple to pink, black to burgundy, nude to saturated colors, and many more. With so many options, it makes us explore as well. I remember when I was in high school, the only available liptint shade is red(*light and dark), in college years, I’ve tried and explored pink shades, I think during that time it looks vibrant and youthful for some reason it also hides stresses from studies. After that, I went in and dive into more muted colors, nothing that pops out, for it’s more natural looking. Now that I am more mature, I went back into red, and it seems like a cycle, now it’s back to basic.

Red is not for all, however, there are many rising red shades that would make it suit with everyone, like the variation of undertone, it helps a lot in making it work for those who are more on the darker skin color like myself. To slay this color, it will help if you know whether you are warm or cool tone just to make it a better fit on your overall look.

Red lipstick is proven to be a timeless act  that transcends through different eras. Whether it’s simple or bold look, it will always leave a beautiful statement. So if you are one of the girlies, might as well try it on your everyday look or your special events look and experience firsthand its iconic vibrance.
